Djurgården’s midfielder has been the talk of the town during the month of January. During the night of Friday, when the transfer window closed, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic reported that Bergvall chose to nob Barcelona for Tottenham.
One of the reasons why the transfer was delayed until last night was that Bergvall turns 18 today, February 2, which makes it easier for the club to sign a longer contract.
Now a medical examination awaits in London on Friday to complete the transfer, which will cost the club roughly 113 million kroner, plus future bonuses.
According to Romano, Dejan Kulusevski, who plays at the club, must have played a role in Bergvall’s choice.
