Healthcare costs for interpreters have more than doubled in the last ten years, according to a survey made by the magazine Kvartal.

From just over SEK 370 million in 2013, the costs have increased to SEK 837 million in 2023. The metropolitan regions Skåne, Stockholm and Västra Götaland have the highest costs. The largest increase is in Skåne, where costs have increased from SEK 37 million to SEK 208 million over a ten-year period.
