So good is the new ŠKODA ENYAQ – new favorite for the family?

So good is the new SKODA ENYAQ new favorite

ŠKODA has long been synonymous with pragmatism and common sense. Their electric flagship, Enyaq, has become one of Europe’s best -selling electric cars since its launch in 2019.

Now it’s time for an update – and we traveled to the Czech Republic for a test run.

Many streams small

The updated Enyaq has received ŠKODA’s new design language, Modern Solid, who debuted with Lilla El-Sove Elroq as we have previously tested. The biggest visual differences can be seen in the front, where the former crystal front is replaced by a tighter grill.

At the back, the changes are more subtle, but the new logo in dark chrome and the updated taillights provide a more modern and more sophisticated look.

Aerodynamics have also been improved with optimized air intake and a new grill, which provides an increased range of up to 13 kilometers. In total, the range lands up to 591 kilometers, making it one of the more long -distance -friendly electric cars in its segment.

In addition, a new lacquer color, Olibo Green, is offered, which in combination with cognacs colored interior gives a really stylish look.

For those who want to stand out a little extra, there is the opportunity to combine the varnish with a two-tone design, where the lower part of the car gets a silver-colored contrast, which for the thoughts of the 80s-both retro and frenzy.

Well -balanced driving experience

Our test run started in Prague and continued south towards Lipno, a ski resort near the Austrian border. We tested both rear -wheel drive enyaq 85 and four -wheel drive 85x.

In terms of performance, they are equivalent, with the difference that 85X offers extra grip on slippery roads. It is a car that easily stays stable in all road conditions, whether it is rain -wet highways or winding mountain roads.

On the highway, Enyaq impresses with a low noise level and a premium feeling that ŠKODA may themselves avoid calling “premium” – but which is still difficult to overlook.

During the journey, the car’s V2L function was also demonstrated, which makes it possible to drive everything from a coffee maker to a stroke drill via the car’s battery.

Ideal for camping enthusiasts or the one who needs power in a crisis situation.

Comfort in top class

On winding country roads, ŠKODA’s adaptive DCC chassis turned out to be one of the car’s great forces. With 15 step adjustability, the suspension can be varied from extreme comfort to sportier settings.

The difference between the different positions is distinct, but the car should be locked in comfort mode because it is so damn nice. With that said, the sports mode offers noticeable stiffness.

Anyone who runs long distances will appreciate the well -built compartment and the well thought out details.

The chairs provide good support and there is plenty of room for both drivers and passengers. ŠKODA has made a smart move by simplifying equipment levels, which means that more functions are included as standard.

Updated ŠKODA ENYAQ is a family favorite

ŠKODA ENYAQ takes an already well -established concept and grinds it further. The result is one of the most thoughtful electric supers on the market.

Comfort, range and charging capacity maintain a high level, and the car offers a well -balanced mix of technology and practical solutions.

Enyaq is not a car that screams for attention, but it delivers at all the points that mean something to a modern car owner.

It may not be the most entertaining car to drive, but as a well thought out family car it is difficult to beat. The future looks bright for ŠKODA – and the premium feeling is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
