As far as the use of mods for Monster Hunter Wilds is concerned, Capcom supposedly pursues a liberal policy. But there is a limit that you obviously shouldn’t exceed!
What kind of limit is that? On the net, reports are currently being circulated that the accounts of various players from Monster Hunter Wilds are said to have been permanently blocked due to the use of mods (for example via 80.LV). Restoration is not possible.
What the banished players apparently have in common: They are said to have used a modification that can actually be used to unlock paid DLC content without buying. So you not only adapted your gaming experience, but have practically gone to the money – and apparently have crossed a clear limit.
Even without mods, Monster Hunter Wilds is comparatively entry -friendly:

How does Capcom officially feel about mods? In the usage agreements by Monster Hunter Wilds (via monsterhunter.com) it is officially said:
“Injuries to Capcom intellectual property rights, for example by duplication (with the exception of reproduction for the purpose of the program installation), modification, change, translation, analysis, reverse engineering or extracting the code from the entire program or part of it” is one of the forbidden behavior.
Already at the PC version of Monster Hunter World, the Capcom managers had put an eye on when it comes to using mods to adapt their own gaming experience. Monster Hunter Wilds also does without an anti-cheat program, which means that numerous mods of fans can be used without any problems.
Uncertainty spreads
The same question always arises on various community platforms by Steam and Co.: Are mods allowed? The discussions about the latest blocks (via Reddit) show that there are very different views and answers as well as many other questions on the topic.
Since the current reports within the community provide visible uncertainty, Meinmmo asked Capcom to an official statement on the subject of mods. When this reaches us, we update this message for you.
What to do until then? Due to the passage from the usage agreements cited above, Capcom has always had a lever to take action against the use of modifications. However, the more than 700 mods on nexusmods.com for Monster Hunter Wilds and the sometimes hundreds of thousands of downloads Pro Mod show that Capcom is probably in my eye when it comes to the topic of mods.
The fact that this liberal policy no longer applies as soon as players actually get paid content without the purchase is likely to be understandable. If you are unsure about the use of normal mods, you should not use it for now or only on solo hunts. The latter applies above all if your adjustments also influence the gaming experience of your fellow campaigners: First cheaters torpedo the fun in the co -op of Monster Hunter Wilds
