The Food Workers’ Union has notified a strike at SMD Logistics, which delivers most of all snuff and all tobacco to stores in Sweden. The reason is that the company signed a collective agreement with Swedish trade.
Then there can be snuff deficiency in Sweden
“This is an attempt at pure contract shopping and nothing else. The employer simply wants a cheaper agreement that deteriorates for our members,” says Jolan Wennbergsecond chairman at Livs in a press release.
The notification comes into force on April 1 and affects about 150 food workers.
It is withdrawn if SMD Logistics signs suspension agreements with life or again become a member of the food companies.
