After several days of good weather across France, the precipitation is returning. We expect a lot of rain during the week, with a few snowflakes in the plains from Wednesday.
Autumn is here, and winter is fast approaching. Temperatures are decreasing, the sky is setting early and the weather will soon be gloomy over a large part of the territory. At the end of the weekend, we expect temperatures which will struggle to exceed 10°C in the northern half of the country. It will be 3°C in Chaumont, 4°C in Tours, 5°C in Metz and 9°C in Paris on Sunday morning. The south-east of the country will be able to benefit from good weather and temperatures that are still not too cool in the afternoon. It will be 16°C in Nice, 17°C in Montpellier, 18°C in Perpignan and 17°C in Ajaccio, according to forecasts from Meteo France.
Rain will appear at the start of the week, starting in the north on Monday morning. Showers will hit from Brittany to Alsace in the evening. There will still be some rays of sunshine in the south, but with cooler temperatures. It should be 9°C in Aurillac and 10°C in Toulouse.
Snow in the plains from Wednesday
Rain will fall over a large majority of the territory on Wednesday morning, with very cool temperatures in the north and east of the country. The minimum will be 1°C in Belfort. The snow will start to fall on the plains in the evening, in Chaumont where it will not hold since the mercury will not drop below 0°C, and in Bourg-Saint-Maurice where it will be -2°C. Snow will continue to fall in the Alps on Thursday and until Friday. There will also be snow in Alsace, with cool temperatures, but not below 0°C. It will be 0°C in Belfort, 1°C in Chaumont and 3°C in Strasbourg.
