Snow patch from the ice age melts away: “No more than weeks left”

The patch of snow in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park is thought to be the closest to land to a glacier – and is a remnant of the last Ice Age.

Author and snow enthusiast Iain Cameron is one of several dedicated volunteers who visit the site each year to study and monitor the situation. He believes that it is now only weeks until it is completely gone.
