Air traffic at Germany’s second largest airport has been suspended until at least noon.

All air traffic in the German capital Munich has been canceled since Saturday morning due to heavy snowfall. It is the second largest airport in Germany.
So far, flights departing from the airport have been canceled until at least 12 o’clock local time. According to the announcement published on the airport’s website, 320–760 flights have been canceled from Saturday.
From Finland, Lufthansa and Finnair flights from Helsinki–Vantaa to Munich have also been canceled this morning. In addition, the Lufthansa flight departing at 12:45 has been cancelled.
The snowfall has also confused train traffic in Munich for the whole day, says the railway company Deutsche Bahn on its website. Trains are not accessible at Munich Central Station and passengers are advised to change their travel plans.
In addition, the weather situation affects the city’s public transport, where the majority of bus and tram routes have been cancelled, says Deutsche Welle.
