On December 1, this year’s Christmas calendar “Snödrömmar” premieres on SVT.
And for the first time, the Christmas calendar takes place in a Sami family that runs a ski resort when suddenly one winter there is no snow. It snows everywhere – but not on their mountains. The two daughters in the family, Ristin and Áila, become involved in a mystery to find out what really happened.
– This year’s Christmas calendar is a classic adventure that both contains everything you want from a Christmas calendar and at the same time gives us new and exciting insights into a world we have not seen before, says Göran Danasten, executive producer at SVT Drama.
Jonas Wallerström and Jacob Seth Fransson have directed this year’s Christmas calendar.
– With Snow Dreams, we want to take the viewer on a thrilling Christmas journey into unknown, exciting worlds, both ones we can see and some that are hidden from view. There will be cryptic riddles, alien beings and miracles of nature, and those who stay until the end may find out all of Gavmofjäll’s secrets, they say.
Sami hatch opening
In the roles you can see Ellá Márge Nutti, Hedvig Åhrén, Anna Åsdell, Christine Meltzer, Olle Sarri, Pávva Pittja, Nik Märak, Måns Nathanaelson Shirley Clamp and Olov-Anders Sikku.
As usual, the Christmas calendar is framed by the door opening, which this year is hosted by Malin Olsson.
On SVT Play, there will also be a Sami hatch opening with cozy stories with different essences and events in the Sami mythology. The hatch opening is led by Marit Kuhmunen Blom.
There will also be a dubbed version of Snödrömmar in Southern Sami and a subtitled version in Northern Sami on SVT Play.
