SNCF strike what forecast to expect on Friday April 28

SNCF STRIKE 28 APRIL. Will TGV, TER, Intercités, Transilien and RER be affected by the day of action on Friday April 28, 2023? Find the forecasts of the SNCF strike.

[Mis à jour le 21 avril 2023 à 12h23] The four representative unions of the SNCF want a new high point on Friday April 28 to demonstrate against the pension reform, before the traditional day of the 1er May, next day of national and interprofessional strike. The member of the confederal office of the CGT Thomas Vacheron clarified on France Info that April 28 will focus “on pensions and on deaths at work”. He added, moreover, that between “today and May 1, several mobilizations, actions, strikes and demonstrations will exist and will participate in pushing back the government”.

Will this new day of strike have as little impact as the “day of expression of railway anger” which was not particularly followed in terms of disturbances? Last Thursday, the TGVs were indeed circulating more or less normally, as were the Eurostars and the Thalys. On the TER side, 4 out of 5 trains were announced on average at the national level, a few lines of Intercités, RER and Transilien were however more affected. We take stock of the disturbances.

TGV, TER, Intercités, Transilien, RER… The disturbances are not yet known but will be 48 hours before the start of the strike movement. Note that for the Transilien network, there is a dedicated platform to follow the next traffic disruptions. To monitor general regional train traffic disruptions, this page will be useful to you.

How do I know if my train has been canceled due to the SNCF strike?

Travelers on canceled TGV and Intercités trains receive the information via e-mail or SMS. On the other hand, users of TER without a connection do not receive SMS. It is advisable to verify the information by informing its train number on the SNCF website.

SNCF users can quickly check the traffic situation and find out if a particular train has been canceled or is leaving late. For information on TGVs, the telephone number provided is 0 805 90 36 35. To follow traffic on all major or medium-sized lines (TGV, Intercités, TER), go to this page of the SNCF.
