SNCF STRIKE. Who says new SNCF strike says new disturbances on the rail. From the TGV to the Transilien via the TER, Intercités and RER, here is what to expect on February 7, 2023.
[Mis à jour le 6 février 2023 à 22h43] With the new day of national and interprofessional mobilization to which the inter-union calls, Tuesday, February 7, 2023 promises to be still complicated for rail users. Young or old travellers, whether they take the RER, the Transilien, the Intercités, the TER or the TGV, everyone is concerned. But if on the side of the TGV, Ouigo or Intercités, a message is generally sent upstream to the passengers to inform them in the event of cancellation, this is not the case for trains with non-nominative and undated tickets such as TER, Transilien and RER. For these means of transport, forecasts are still announced in advance.
It should be noted that if the four main trade union organizations of railway workers, namely the CGT, the UNSA, SUD-Rail and the CFDT, call for a mobilization against the pension reform on Tuesday February 7, the CGT and SUD-Rail have filed a notice which also covers the day of Wednesday February 8, 2023. On the other hand, the strike of Saturday February 11 will not ultimately be followed, the SNCF unions not calling for mobilization that day. Discover the disruptions for this Tuesday, February 7 below or using our summary opposite, as well as the forecasts for Wednesday, February 8.

The CGT Cheminots and SUD-Rail maintain their call for a strike the day after February 7, i.e. Wednesday February 8, without being followed by Unsa Ferroviaire and CFDT-Cheminots, who are sticking to the call of the eight main French trade unions. For the time being, the forecasts have not been announced, but will be by Monday evening at the latest.
The two dates of February 7 and 8, 2023 fall during the Zone A school holidays, which start this Saturday February 4, and just before the Zone B holidays which start on Saturday February 11!
The representative unions of the SNCF announced on Monday that they were not calling for a strike in this 4th act of mobilization against the pension reform, whereas until now this date was debate. The Unsa Ferroviaire union wants a simple “call for mobilization, not a strike” on Saturday February 11, in particular to avoid criticism of this symbolic date for departures on winter vacation for zone B (Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg). An opinion which had been shared by SUD-Rail: “We debated the possibility of not having a call for a strike on this day and of having a simple call for demonstration”, announced the federal secretary of the union Erik Meyer to AFP. “We don’t want to block the holiday crossover,” he added.
The unions have also proposed a renewable strike “from mid-February” at the SNCF, in the event that the government persists in its pension reform project.
