SNCF STRIKE. TGV, Ouigo, TER and Intercités traffic will be severely disrupted on Tuesday March 7 for the sixth day of the strike against the pension reform, according to SNCF forecasts unveiled this Sunday.

In a press release published this Sunday, SNCF warned that “train traffic will be very seriously disrupted on all lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs”. Disturbances resulting from the call for a strike renewable from March 7 launched by the four representative unions of the SNCF (CGT-Cheminots, CFDT-Cheminots, Sud-Rail and Unsa Ferroviaire).

On average, there will be 1 out of 5 TGVs in circulation and 1 out of 4 Ouigo trains. Intercity and international train traffic will also be disrupted. Given these announced disruptions, SNCF Voyageurs “recommends that travelers who can cancel or postpone their trips planned for this day, and to favor teleworking.” It also recommends to travelers “who are unable to postpone their trip to check the circulation of trains the day before, Monday March 6, at 5 p.m. on the SNCF sites and applications”.

“The circulation of trains will be very seriously disrupted on all lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs”, warned the company in a press release published this Sunday. Here are the disruptions planned by the SNCF for the day of Tuesday, March 7.

TGV and Ouigo traffic

  • TGV North axis: 1 train out of 5 (except Paris-Lille, 1 train out of 2)
  • TGV East axis: 1 train out of 5
  • TGV Atlantic axis: 1 train out of 5
  • TGV South East axis: 1 train out of 3
  • Ouigo: 1 train out of 4
  • Province to province: 1 train out of 10

RER, Transilien and Tramway traffic managed by SNCF in the Paris region

  • RER A: 1 train out of 3 between Nanterre Préfecture and Poissy / Cergy.
  • RER B: 1 train out of 3 between Gare du Nord and Mitry-Claye/CDG 2 Airport. Interconnection suspended at Gare du Nord, change of train compulsory.
  • RER C: 1 train out of 5 and no train between Austerlitz and Pontoise/Saint-Quentin en Yvelines/Versailles Rive Gauche.
  • RER D: 1 train out of 5, no train between Châtelet and Gare de Lyon
  • RER E: 1 train out of 10, no train between Haussmann St Lazare and Pantin
  • Lines H, K and U: 1 train out of 3
  • Lines J, L, N and R: 1 train out of 5
  • Line P: 1 train out of 10, no traffic on the Meaux La Ferté – Milon, Meaux – Château Thierry, Tournan – Coulommiers and Gretz – Provins axes

TER and Intercités traffic

  • TER: 1 train out of 5 on average, details of the disruptions will be communicated by SNCF Voyageurs in each region
  • Intercités by day: no traffic, except one Paris-Brive round trip and two Paris-Clermont round trips. Normal traffic for Toulouse – Hendaye thanks to the introduction of a replacement coach
  • Night intercity: no traffic on nights from Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday

Movement of international trains

  • Eurostar: 2 out of 3 trains
  • Thalys: 2 out of 3 trains
  • Trains France – Italy: 1 round trip
  • Trains France – Germany: no traffic
  • Trains France – Switzerland: 1 train out of 5

The four trade union organizations representing the SNCF have called for a renewable strike movement from Tuesday March 7. The Unsa Ferroviaire, the second union at the SNCF, “will analyze from March 7 and every day the rate of strikers at the SNCF (…), but also at the interprofessional level, to decide on the follow-up to be given to this movement”, a- he indicated. At the CFDT, more than 80% are in favor of a renewable strike”. All the union organizations representing the RATP have also called for a renewable movement.

“At SNCF, at RATP, things will surely not stop on the evening of March 7 or the morning of March 8. I have asked the CEOs of SNCF and RATP to have discussions,” said declared on this subject the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, this Sunday on France 3.
