This Friday, the SNCF, the public railway company, launched the restructuring of its freight branch, that is to say the transport of goods. The European Union suspects the company of distorting competition, because of the money it received from the French state, its sole shareholder. The government specifies that it is a question of avoiding the company having to reimburse several billion euros, which would be a guaranteed bankruptcy. The unions speak of a dismantling.
