Snap Inc., parent company of Snapchat, has just launched Snapchat for Web, a version of its service that can be used in your computer’s web browser.
You can now let your smartphone charge while continuing to send snaps from your PC. Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has just launched Snapchat for Web. This new version of its service will eventually allow the platform’s 332 million users (and you may be one of them) to use Snapchat from their computer’s web browser.
Available at web.snapchat.com, Snapchat for Web is (at least for now) only compatible with Chrome, Google’s web browser. With this version of the service, Snap hopes to allow you to resume your activity on Snapchat where you left off on your mobile. In addition to chatting, you will be able to make voice and video calls, react to messages and respond to them, and even soon use the famous Lenses that Snap inc. plans to launch very soon.

Please note, however, that the service is currently not available in France. Snap reserves it for the time being only for users subscribed to Snapchat +, its premium offer formalized a few weeks ago and which allows, among other things, preview access to new features. In addition, this Web version of Snapchat is currently only accessible in a limited number of countries. The United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia were among the first lucky ones to be served.
For France and the rest of the world, it will still be necessary to show a little patience. In the blog post announcing the launch of Snapchat for Web, the company confirms that it wants to deploy its service very soon for all of its users.
