(Finance) – After the Transition Plan of October 2024, the Innovation Plan will arrive. The strategy and disclosure of is enriched with new details Snamwhich today presents a new plan to 2029 with total investments of 12.4 billion euros. The company led by Stefano Venier has in fact said that in the first half of 2025 will present his first Innovation Planwhich will detail the innovation strategy, ecosystem, key projects, collaborations and a ten-year innovation technology roadmap.
Innovation is one of the two strategic levers in support of the new plan, together with sustainability.
THE’dual-track strategic approach Snam’s innovation focuses on both proven innovation and exploratory innovation to improve operational excellence and promote decarbonised energy solutions.
In the period 2025-2029, Snam will invest 338 million euros in proven innovation initiatives and another 62 million euros in exploratory innovation activities. This amount will be directed towards advanced digitalisation, the application of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies to support the development of decarbonised molecules.
Since 2018, the SnamTEC program has been decisive in improving asset performance, resilience and operational security by integrating new technologies and tools into the Group’s core activities.
They will be employed both existing and emerging technologies to accommodate different molecules in Snam infrastructures. By implementing and testing zero or low carbon emission technologies in the industry, energy and transport sectors, Snam actively contributes to the decarbonisation of the system.
