According to ABC News, the Aircraft No. QF643 was forced to land back due to the detection of smoke in the cockpit shortly after the departure from Sydney Airport to make the Sydney-Perth campaign.
One of the spokespersons of the Qantas Company said in a statement on the subject and conveyed the company’s apologies for the disruption.
Stating that the pilots were trained to overcome such situations, Sözcü said that after the appropriate procedures were applied, the aircraft landed safely.
The company also announced that an investigation will be conducted.
