SMO completely cleared the Tishrin Dam from the terrorist organization PKK/YPG

Within the scope of the Dawn of Freedom Operation launched by the Syrian National Army, Tishrin Dam, which provides most of the water and electricity supply to the provinces in the eastern part, was saved from the occupation of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG.

Tishrin, located in the south of Manbij district and one of the important dams on the Euphrates River, is the largest and most important dam seized so far.

70 PERCENT OF SYRIA’S ELECTRICITY NEEDS ARE MEET FROM HERE

Approximately 70 percent of Syria’s electricity needs are met from Tishrin, Tabqa and Baath dams.

The Tishrin Dam on the western bank of the Euphrates River was captured by YPG/PKK with US support on December 27, 2015.
