All is good – the Blue Jays are heading to the post season and our Tillsonburg Men’s Slo-pitch season will come to an end with better than seasonal temperatures for the month of October.

MEN’S A
Townsend Lumber won two straight last week to take a 2-1 in the best-of-five final.
They thanked GC Lounsbury in the second game, scoring seven in three of their four at-bats. Game 3 was a little closer but Townsend led from start to finish.

GC: Alex Penders 2-2 HR, Cory Smith 2-2 HR
Everyone in the winner’s order scored at least one run. Tim Morgan, Darren Pace, Kevin Harrop and Steve Derks all scored three runs.

Kevin Harrop had a big night in his birthday week as he belted three homers while driving in five for the winners. Josh Stubbs homered and doubled twice.
MEN’S B
Smitty’s Electric captured the playoff B title to go along with their regular season crown as they swept the Pelicans. The Pelicans put up a good fight in the second game tying it after five complete. Smitty’s put the game away with a six-run seventh. The series clincher was no contest with Smitty’s winning by 17.

Pelicans: Chris Parker 3-4, Steve Leacock 3-4
Shawn Brooks and Justin Wood each scored runs in the final two innings for the winners. Doug Falkins reached and scored in three of his four at-bats.
