The warning is issued from Friday afternoon, but the rain may also continue into Saturday.
– It is an unstable weather situation with rain and thundershowers in many places. The heaviest showers look set to affect Västernorrland County until Saturday, but it is difficult to say how much rain there will be, says SVT’s meteorologist Marcus Sjöstedt and continues:
– Right now it looks like the center of gravity of the showers will end up over the western parts of the county, but it is uncertain. SMHI has chosen to issue a warning as there is a risk that there will be a lot of rain in a short time which could cause flooding.
For example, there is a risk of basements, storm water systems, roads and viaducts being flooded.
