On Sunday, starting around lunchtime, heavy rain showers with thunder may hit large parts of Götaland’s mainland. This is what SMHI writes on its website and has issued a yellow warning.

The showers can locally produce 30–50 millimeters of rain in a short time. It is also warned that traffic may slow down due to flooded roads and that there is a risk of flooded basements, viaducts and storm water systems in some places.

The rainy weather is moving east in Götaland and the showers will intensify during the day and then ease off from the west during the evening. SMHI states that there can be large local variations, so exactly where the largest amounts will fall is difficult to assess.
