SMHI warns of new thunderstorms

“The thunder is mainly out to sea and it is uncertain to what extent the thunder touches land,” writes SMHI, which has issued a yellow warning.

The storm can, among other things, entail the risk of disruptions in the electricity supply and train traffic due to lightning strikes. There is also a risk of fires.

During Thursday, a strong thunderstorm moved in over northwestern Götaland and parts of western Svealand. On Lidingö outside Stockholm, several young people were struck by lightning in connection with a football practice on Lidingö outside Stockholm. Three were said to be seriously injured on Thursday.
