SMHI has issued a yellow warning, the lowest, for torrential rain. Thunder may also occur.
“Locally, the showers can be strong and produce large amounts of rain in a short time”, writes SMHI.
The rain is expected to start falling during Thursday afternoon in an area that stretches like a triangle between Hudiksvall, Falun and Norrtälje, and cities such as Gävle and Uppsala are affected.
“There will be large local variations and it is uncertain where the largest amounts of rain will end up.”
