SMHI warns – extreme risk of forest fire in southern Sweden

The dry spring meant that SMHI last week issued a warning of high or extremely high fire risk in all of Götaland and parts of Svealand.

– April and May were drier than we usually see. The dry ground combined with strong winds means that the fire is currently spreading very easily.

Since before, a fire ban applies throughout Kalmar and Kronoberg counties.

– I think you should find out what applies to fire bans and that you should use common sense when you are in nature. The smallest spark can start a forest fire.
