SMHI issues a yellow warning – snowfall is on the way in the county

According to SMHI, there may be five centimetres, locally ten centimeters of precipitation around Vänern and in a line in the direction of Falun and Västerås. There can be a quick change to cooler temperatures in clear weather.

SMHI issues a yellow weather warning about snowfall in parts of Svealand and the yellow warning remains in place on Monday.

– The eastern parts of Västmanland will see the most rain, while areas near Mälaren are expected to see wet snow. There will be snow in the northern parts of the county, but it is unclear whether the snow will remain, says Nils Holmqvist.

According to Nils Holmqvist, the weather in Västmanland continues to be unstable throughout the next week. He recommends that you should not go out on the roads with summer tires.
