SMHI has issued a yellow warning for snowfall: “Quite large amounts of snow may come”

On the night of Tuesday, rain is expected to move in from the south, according to SMHI. Eventually, the rain is expected to turn to snowfall that can bring 5-10 centimeters of snow, locally up to 10-20 centimeters of snow in parts of central and northern Götaland. SMHI has issued a yellow warning from 05:00 on Tuesday morning.

Several caveats

SMHI has also issued a yellow warning for northernmost Götaland and southernmost Svealand, this for wind in combination with snowfall. According to SMHI, there is a risk of traffic problems with slush, slippage and poor visibility.

Later on Tuesday from 2 p.m. SMHI also warns that there may be traffic problems in parts of easternmost Sveland due to snowfall and wind.
