(Finance) – Starting from 1 July 2023, the new agreement reached between Open Fiber and the trade union organizations on smart working. The company, after introducing smart working during the pandemic period, has chosen to make it structural and even more flexible. There new Fiber working mode provides for a bimonthly counter of 21 usable days up to a maximum of 12 in one of the two reference months. The initiative to provide all employees with ergonomic home kits and the devices needed for remote work is also confirmed. “All – explains the company in a note – aimed at ensuring the balance between personal life and work, a value that the company has pursued since its inception”.
A greater flexibility it is also guaranteed to employees in situations of fragility, in cases of special educational needs as regards the sphere of disability and specific developmental disorders of children, and in other cases of caregiving. In the wake of one more attention to parenting, the agreement provides for supplementary protections both for pregnant women, who can take advantage of 45 days of agile work prior to compulsory maternity leave, and for new parents, for whom 45 days of smart work are envisaged
working in the period following the birth, adoption and pre-adoptive foster care.
Even the changes made to the company level II agreement they take a particular look at the family in all its forms. Among the various measures there is the confirmation of an additional 5 paid days in addition to the paternity leave envisaged by law (expanded in use up to the child’s first year of age) and an extension of the institution of child sickness which can also be spent by the hour.
Open Fiber also encourages the enrollment of employees’ children, within the first three years of life, at Telemaco supplementary pension fund (TLC), with a one-off payment of 200 euros.
