(Finance) – The “Smart City Transformation Academy“, a digital education initiative dedicated to PAs launched by WINDTRE. At the center of the initiative are digital technologies at the service of environmental improvement, energy saving and innovation as drivers of change for Public Administrations.
In light of the “CER Decree” (Renewable and Sustainable Energy Communities) of Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Picket Fratin, which came into force on January 24th to define the methods of incentivizing electricity produced by renewable source systems for self-consumption, the tools and techniques for monitoring the energy consumption of buildings in the area were illustrated. Particular emphasis was given to the role of energy managers and the importance of increasing efficiency in the PA and therefore the role of CERs.
The energy challenge represents one of the main factors of innovation and transformation of production processes: efficient use of energy allows public administrations and businesses to reduce costs and negative impacts on the environment.
Mayors and local government officials participated in the Transformation Academy. The sessions are led by Toni FedericoCoordinator of the ASVIS Working Group of SDGs 7 and 13 (Energy and Climate), e Laura LapennaFPA Training Area Manager, with the contribution of WINDTRE managers from specialized partner companies.

In fact, there are already 27 cities that have signed the Smart City protocol and can exchange good practices for a positive impact on the territories”.
