Small change makes it easier to find the best loot in Diablo 4

The Helltides in Diablo 4 are a good way to find the best loot for your character. In Season 3, the time of the Helltides has been improved, and a small change in the patch notes will help you find the best loot even more easily.

The first patch of the new season in Diablo was released a few days ago. In addition to desired changes to the new season mechanics, there were also ones to the hellfloods. The rate at which Infernal Floods appear has been significantly improved. This is active every hour and only takes a 5 minute break between the hellish floods.

Helltide is an endgame activity that can be done after completing the campaign. If you defeat the enemies in this area, you collect embers, which you can spend on various chests in the area. Good loot awaits you in the Hellflood Chests of Secrets. To make them easier to find, new symbols have been added to the map.

This and a more constant flood of hell made my experience much more pleasant.

The current patch notes for Diablo 4 describe that the Helltide Chest of Secrets and the Living Steel Chest on the map are now visually more distinguishable from the other chests. These chests are shown in orange on the map, while the regular Helltide chests continue to appear normally.

This makes it much easier for players to target the chests. Previously you needed external websites for this. This small change is being received positively on Reddit.

  • Valstraxas: This and a more constant flood of hell made my experience much more pleasant.
  • ASoulToBear: A very welcome change! It was so annoying to use websites to show where the actual locations are.
  • Buschkoeter: One of my favorite changes because I finally don’t have to constantly look at another screen to find the chests.
  • The major Helltide frequency change and new icons will improve many players’ farming experience. Although some users criticize that the icons no longer have the aspect of a secret chest, but due to the many popular websites for the flood of hell, this aspect was never really there anyway.

Nevertheless, users also criticize the fact that such a quality of life feature comes so late. According to the motto better late than never, the change seems to be very popular if it makes it easier to get good items.
