It was SM gold in the last competition of his career for Peppe Femling, who together with Anna Magnusson won the single mixed relay in Boden.
– It has been a nice ending, says Femling in SVT.
Sisters Hanna and Elvira Öberg finished fifth, just seconds from a medal.
Normally, it is one male and one female skater that make up the team in mixed singles, but in Monday’s SM competition, Piteå’s first team consisted of two ladies, namely the Öberg sisters.
Hanna Öberg had to ride against the men and as expected she was a bit behind the best in terms of riding. However, she ended her relay effort with fine shooting and when she switched to little sister Elvira Öberg for the final stretch there was some podium weathering.

However, Team Öberg had to settle for fifth place, four seconds off the podium.

For Peppe Femlingin law with partner Anna Magnussonit was SM gold in the last competition of his career.
– Now it’s really done. It feels good. There were a lot of emotions last week, now I’m mostly here enjoying myself. It has been a nice finish, says Femling after the competition.
The SM silver went to Emma Nilsson and Emil Nykvistand the bronze took Anna Hedstrom and Sebastian Samuelsson care of. Afterwards, Samuelsson told what it was like to face Hanna Öberg.
– It was a bit stressful, I must admit. Normally, you would have taken it a bit easy on the first lap, but now that Hanna was with us, we have to create some distance to the wall. It was fun, they did great and were close to a medal, it was well done by them, says Samuelsson.
