The SC in water trials was decided on Saturday and on day two on Sunday there were competitions in three classes: start, open and elite.
The competitions involve the dog and handler solving different tasks, where it is about rescuing objects or people in the water in several ways.
– The difficulty is, among other things, teaching the dog what is right or left. Then there can be disturbing moments, such as a seagull in the water, which makes the dog rather go there than to the beach, says Annika Fischerström, organizer from the Swedish Newfoundland Dog Club.
During Saturday, the SM was decided and on Sunday, open classes were held.
