Slovenian Tadej Pogacar won the Amstel Gold Race, the first of the three Ardennes classics, this Sunday April 16, 2023 in Valkenburg, in the south of the Netherlands. He escaped alone about 30 kilometers from the finish in the ascent of Keutenberg, leaving no chance for his last two breakaway companions, the Irishman Ben Healy and the Briton Tom Pidcock. Already winner of the Tour of Flanders in early April, Pogacar signs with this new victory his eleventh success of the season.
