Slovenia gave the Wolves a fierce backlash | Sports in a nutshell

The Wolves’ tournament continues with the quarterfinals played on Wednesday.

Finland’s national under-18 boys’ basketball team received a rude beating from Slovenia in their third and final group game of the EC home games in Tampere.

After an even opening quarter, the wolf cubs fell from their opponent, who had a great lead, and Slovenia celebrated the victory at the end with points 9–-44 (46–23).

Finland’s number one player in Hakametsän Arena was Aaron Ekwere With 11 points and five rebounds. Slovenia sank their threes with 50 percent accuracy (15/30) and scored points also from Finland’s numerous turnovers.

– Today was not Finland’s day, today was Slovenia’s day. Big hats off and respect to them. Slovenia has shown itself to be an extremely excellent driving team, Finland’s head coach Jyri Lohikoski acknowledged in the announcement.
