In Sleight of Hand, players guide occult detective Lady Luck on her quest to find and destroy the ancient coven of witches. Lady Luck, who came to Steeple City with a cursed card support, gains an advantage against her enemies thanks to the unique abilities of each card. Cards like Peekaboo, Hex, and Chain Smoker play critical roles in the progression of the game. Secret passages, puzzles, and interrogations with councilors are among the challenges players must overcome to progress through the story.
The basic premise of the game is based on Lady Luck’s obligation to pay past bills and unpaid debts. This motivational element provides a believable basis for the character’s dangerous adventures.
