    There is a good reason to limit heating in the bedroom. Indeed, our organism and more particularly our brain, has a natural thermostat: the hypothalamus. This brain sensor acts as a regulator of our body temperature. By reducing it, it promotes falling asleep. A phenomenon that happens about twice a day, around 2 and 10 p.m., at nap time and at night.

    This is why the National Institute of Sleep and Vigilance (INSV) warns against “an atmosphere that is too hot which will thwart the decrease in core temperature and disrupt falling asleep and the architecture of sleep”. He advises to “refresh your room well, on the contrary”.

    For this and in order not to disturb this natural cycle of falling asleep, it is therefore advisable to turn off the heating of your room or at least not to overheat. To know when the temperature is getting too low, you can install a thermometer in your room.
