Floods following heavy downpours have hit war- and famine-torn Yemen. At least 60 people have died, and around ten are missing, according to the UN.
The rains have also hit communities and infrastructure hard, and nearly 270,000 inhabitants are directly affected.
“The supply of the population, which was already hanging in the balance before, has now been swept away,” states the UN aid agency Ocha.
Yemen is divided, with a large part of the country controlled by the Iran-backed Houthi movement.
Data from the UN this weekend estimated that over 600,000 children are affected by a lack of food, of which 120,000 are classified as severely malnourished.
