The Czech manufacturer, which held its annual press conference in the past days, announced its new plans at this event. Announcing that it delivered 731,300 vehicles last year despite ongoing difficulties such as the supply chain and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Skoda wants to increase its sales with its breakthrough in electricity focus in the coming period.

One of the most striking among the statistics shared by the brand is undoubtedly model-based sales. When we look at this part of the table, we see that Octavia is the most preferred model globally with a level of 141 thousand. Having sold 377 thousand vehicles in Western Europe, 148 thousand vehicles in Central Europe and over 44 thousand vehicles in China, Škoda’s largest market on a country basis is Germany with 134 thousand. At the same time, the Czech brand will increase its growth potential by entering overseas markets such as Vietnam.

Announcing that it will offer three new electric models by 2026, the brand is preparing to expand its zero-emission product range. Thus, a wide range of electric products will be offered, from entry segment models to mid-segment and seven-seater vehicles. Continuing to grow in the field of electromobility, Škoda will produce 1500 battery modules per day at its main factory, Mlada Boleslav, with additional production lines to be adapted this year. Increasing its sustainability efforts, the brand uses more environmentally friendly approaches globally. Finally, with the newly established solar facility in the Pune factory in India, 30 percent of the energy consumption here will be met by solar energy.
