Deer with severe diarrhea have been observed and euthanized on Frösön. The animals have been very popular and so far the municipal hunters have killed three deer.
– It is unclear what they have suffered from, says Anders Olsson, municipal hunter in Östersund. It is unusual for them to have diarrhea this time of year.
One theory is, according to Anders Olsson, the parasite cryptosporidium, which is familiar to many Eastern Sounders.
– We want to get a handle on the whole thing and want observations from the public, says Anders Olsson.
