Erik Mobärg got off to a great start in the final and took an early lead. But it was dramatic.
The rest of the final field approached and after the last turn there was a battle between Erik Mobärg and Jonas Lenherr.
But it was the Swede who was the first to cross the finish line – for the second time in his World Cup career.
– I got off to a really good start and it went quickly. That was probably what took me to first place, says Mobärg in the victory interview.
SVT Sports expert Viktor Andersson was impressed:
– What a day he delivers, what a ride he has inside his shirt vest today, he says.
Erik Mobärg is now third in the overall World Cup.
David Mobärg went out in the quarter-finals but will get another chance on Sunday when there are again competitions in Reiteralm.
