Skeleton Crew what is this new Star Wars series released

A new Star Wars series was released this Tuesday, December 3 on Disney+, one day before its initial date. But what is it about and how does it fit into the vast galactic universe?

This Tuesday, December 3, one day before its initially announced date, fans can discover the new series Star Wars on Disney+. Skeleton Crew is the new mainstream production in the Lucasfilm franchise. The plot takes place after the events of episode 6, Return of the Jediand follows three children and a cyborg who take off on a new adventure worthy of Goonies.

The objective for creators: to tell Star Wars for children, to make the work more accessible without mythology being at the heart of the project (even if the canons of George Lucas’ universe are well established). Fans from the start, but above all complete neophytes, can therefore discover this family adventure.

At the helm of this exclusive series, we find Chris Ford writing the screenplay and Jon Watts directing. Jon Favreau, to whom we already owe the much-loved series The Mandalorianis also part of the project and this time takes on the role of producer. This adventure series is aimed at all audiences, and will also appeal to younger people even if their elders will recognize a few famous faces thanks to a 3-star casting, notably composed of Jude Law.
