Athlete Femke Bol from Amersfoort, swimmer Sharon van Rouwendaal from Soest, the judokas Noël van ‘t End from Driebergen and Michael Korrel from Vianen and track cyclist Jan Willem van Schip from Schalkwijk were also assured of Olympic participation.
This also applies to the Utrecht rowers Eli Brouwer and Joris van de Kerkhof. Lorena Wiebes from Mijdrecht and Ellen van Dijk from Woerden represent the Netherlands in Paris in road cycling.
Laura van der Heijden from Leusden and Angele Malestein from Bunschoten are part of the Dutch women’s handball team.
