Skaftåsen is the newest wind farm in Jämtland County. It is located right on the border with Dalarna, east of Lillhärdal.
Electricity for 110,000 households
Here there are a total of 35 plants that will produce electricity equivalent to household electricity for approximately 110,000 households.
Close to 350 people from several different countries attended the opening and virtually all accommodation in the area was fully booked.
Millions of kroner in “village money”
One of those who was there is Victor Johansson, chairman of the association Medvind för bygden. The association has signed an agreement with the wind farm’s owner. An agreement that can provide millions of kroner to develop the local area.
