Potters has been mayor of De Bilt since 2017. His second term of office started on April 4, 2023. He was actually supposed to remain mayor of De Bilt until 2029. Potters was born in Tilburg, finished high school in Breda and then studied in Tilburg. He previously worked for the municipality of Helmond. Potters and his husband intend to move to Helmond as soon as possible.
