It has been a while since SJ operated night train traffic between Stockholm–Luleå/Narvik, more precisely between June 2008 and December 2020.
“We want more people to choose night trains”
When SJ now takes over the night traffic again, the company maintains that it is with an ambition to maintain good quality – and a promise:
– We want to get even more people to choose the night trains and will work on developing the offer and lowering ticket prices, says Jan Kyrk, SJ’s business manager.
The Swedish Transport Administration has decided that SJ will be commissioned to run the route for a year, with a possible extension of another year.
