Six Nations Polytechnic has been selected as one of three finalists for a 2023 OLG Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award.
The award recognizes organizations demonstrating a commitment to creating workplaces that are “inclusive, respectful and reflective” of their community.
“Building respectful and mutually beneficial relationships across cultures is a part of SNP’s founding philosophy and guides us as we continue to build pathways of reconciliation for the benefit of all who share this land,” said Rebecca Jamieson, president and CEO of Six Nations Polytechnic. “SNP is pleased to be nominated as this sends a signal about the importance of our approach to developing and delivering post-secondary education and training.”
Since 1993, Six Nations Polytechnic has offered college and university programs through agreements with public colleges and universities.
Jamieson said the school “welcomes and embraces all learners, teachers, staff and partners to work and learn.” In keeping with Hodinohso:ni culture, the holistic programs and services are centered on the “humanity of all and the diverse communities and backgrounds they come from.”
