Six Nations Police seized about $130,000 worth of carfentanil, fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone in a trafficking investigation called Project Dinero.

Police say they ended the investigation on Thursday into illicit drugs being trafficked in and around Six Nations of the Grand River.

In a news release, police say they executed search warrants on a vehicle and in residences in Brantford and Hamilton with the assistance of the Brantford Police Service Tactical Unit.

In addition to the drugs, police say they seized currency, scales, cutting agent, firearm ammunition, cell phones, stolen property and a luxury vehicle.

A 25-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property under $5,000, ammunition – careless use, and uttering forged document.

A 22-year-old Hamilton woman is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; proceeds of crime over $5,000; and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The accused were held in custody pending formal bail hearings.
