Six Nations police have arrested a 12-year-old with uttering threats and mischief following a March 22 incident at an elementary school

Police went to Emily C. General Elementary School after receiving a complaint about threats.

The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A day earlier – March 21 – a hold and secure was put in place by officials at Holy Trinity School in Simcoe when Norfolk OPP responded to a threat complaint. The hold and secure remained in place for a few hours.

The alleged suspect, an 11-year-old, was identified as the source of the threats, Norfolk OPP said after the hold and secure was lifted.
