Six Nations Police have charged four people with weapons and drug offenses after searching a Brantford hotel room and a Six Nations property.
Police say search warrants were obtained for the hotel room and a Sour Springs Road property following the arrest of a man and woman on Sept. 12. The arrests were made outside the hotel.
During the searches, police seized fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone worth about $30,000. Police also seized a handgun, ammunition, bulk currency, digital scales, cell phones, drug packaging materials and prohibited weapons.
As well, police recovered two stolen vehicles, a stolen motorcycle and a stolen ATV.
A 33-year-old Ohsweken man has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone), unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of careless use of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, four counts of possession of stolen property, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and 10 counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.

A 34-year-old Ohsweken woman has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts, careless use of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, four counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Police have also charged a 41-year-old Ohsweken man with possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order and four counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000.
A 44-year-old Ohsweken woman has been charged with four counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Single-vehicle collision
Six Nations Police are asking anyone who witnessed a Sept. 10 single-vehicle collision on 3rd Line Road to come forward.

Police say they went to the collision scene at about 8:20 pm and found one person with serious injuries. The person was transported to hospital for treatment, police said.
Officers subsequently learned that other occupants of the vehicle fled the area prior to police arrival. The K-9 unit was brought to the scene to locate the individuals but was unsuccessful.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, police said.

Impaired driving
A 48-year-old Ohsweken woman faces drinking and driving charges after police located a vehicle in the ditch.
The vehicle was spotted on 6th Line Road at about 5:15 am on Sept. 9. While speaking to the driver, police noticed signs of impairment and the suspect was taken to Six Nations Police headquarters where she refused to provide a breath sample, said police.
Police have charged her with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample. She will appear in court in Brantford at a future date.
