Anton Lundell, who was chosen as the best player of the match, scored two of Florida’s goals and raised his goal balance for the season to 14. Aleksander Barkov, who was awarded the three-star of the match, gave the passes to three goals, raising his season to 25 + 27 = 52.
– I’m not surprised by what Anton did anymore. This is what he has been doing to us all year. I just wish he was successful in the hat trick, Panthers coach Andrew Brunette comments on Lundell’s success.
Lundell, for his part, described Detroit’s young professionals Moritz Seiderin and Lucas Raymondin caused little tension in advance.
– It knows that you have to find a way to stop them. I believe we got one step ahead of them right at the start of the game and acted as we should, Lundell said.
Maccell’s first NHL goal
Finnish striker Matias Maccelli of Arizona Coyotes played the second match of his NHL career and scored his first goal in the league. In the lavish game, Arizona defeated the Ottawa Senators 8–5.
Maccelli, 21, put the Ottawa goalkeeper back in a second-round wicket in the second half to take Arizona’s 4-0 lead.
– It had a return disc right in front of me. I saw the goalkeeper’s wings open. I tried to pull off the knuckle and it went in, Maccelli described his hit.
For Coyotes, the game was about to become a nightmare after a promising start. The hosts were in a spectacular 4-0 lead after the middle of the second set, but Arizona allowed Ottawa to hurt first in the levels and then another 5–4 lead at the start of the third set. The final set was again in Arizona when the team scored four goals in the tube.

– This was one of those nights when everyone seemed to be walking in my direction and everything seemed to hit the finish line. It was pretty special. Of course, this doesn’t happen very often, Schmaltz said.
