Six dead after shooting in Tel Aviv

It was during Tuesday evening, just before Iran launched its massive robot attack against Israel, that the two men went on the attack in Jaffa in Tel Aviv.

Israeli police suspect that the two men, one armed with a rifle and the other with a knife, began the attack on a tram train. They then jumped off and continued to attack people in the streets.

In a video on social media, two men can be seen jumping off the tram train, one of them shooting.

The perpetrators were shot

According to the police, it was a municipal security guard and an armed civilian who shot the two perpetrators, whom the police refer to as terrorists.

“One was neutralized on the spot and the other is receiving hospital care and is in a serious condition,” the police write on X.

A large search operation was carried out to investigate whether there were more terrorists, but the police were later able to rule that out.

The police have not commented on the perpetrators’ possible motives.

Came from the West Bank

According to the newspaper Haaretz the police have identified the two men and they are said to have come from a city in the West Bank and did not have permission to stay in Israel.

The newspaper also reports that surveillance cameras will show how the men were seen coming out of a nearby mosque before they began the attack.

Six dead – including a 17-year-old girl

According to the Israeli police, six civilians are said to have been killed and another 17 injured in the attack. In addition, one of the perpetrators has been killed.

Haaretz reports that a 17-year-old girl is one of the victims. The newspaper also writes that six of the injured are in a serious condition.
