Six days after release, a fan has already designed an encyclopedia like the Pokédex

How practical it would be to have all the monsters available in Palworld gathered at one glance. With all the important information you need as a player. Conveniently, a fan has designed exactly such a tool – modeled on the Pokédex.

What is the situation? Palworld currently contains 137 Pals, i.e. the small or larger monsters with which you can fight, have them work for you, or eat them.

It can easily happen that you lose track. A kind of encyclopedia would be handy, especially to keep an eye on the different skills of the Pals, wouldn’t it?

That’s probably what Reddit user @Maael, who spoke up in the subreddit, thought. He tried to create his own website where you can see all the Pals at a glance. The website therefore serves as an encyclopedia, similar to the Pokédex from Nintendo’s own monster game.

As Maael points out, there are already several other attempts to create a so-called Paldeck. All come from fans, but no other version would have satisfied him.

There are still some funny bugs and glitches in Palworld.

The Paldeck is informative, free and ad-free

What is special about the Paldeck? Maael explains in his Reddit post what he expects from a good Paldeck:

The Paldeck should be “standalone”, i.e. work without any additional software. It should also not be part of another website. Filtering by elements or worker should be quick and easy. Also very important: the tool is free and free of advertising. According to the creator, it should stay that way in the future.

How is the Paldeck received by the players? Very good so far. There are many comments under the post in the subreddit praising the creator of the tool. Some even allow themselves to be carried away into outright hymns of praise:

  • “You are a saint,” says @NotGrizz gratefully.
  • “The hero we needed,” @droidevo also agrees with the positive feedback.
  • “Will you marry me?” asks @IolairesMinion enthusiastically.
  • The creator also responds to detailed questions. He says that the website also works for mobile users. But the tool is far from perfect, and the many suggestions that users write in the comments will be taken into account if possible.

The fact that the Paldeck already exists in various fan projects just six days after the game’s release shows how committed the community is. Incidentally, the trailer for a fan mod that brings characters from Pokémon into the game has already been blocked by Nintendo.
